Private Sessions
Private Dog Training Gives One-on-One Attention
Private dog training lessons are offered throughout the day and week on-site at Carolina Ranch.
Private lessons are designed specifically for you and the goals that you have for your dog. One of our skilled trainers can meet with you one on one or with your entire family.
During a typical private lesson, we begin by training your dog in front of you as we introduce the exercises to your dog and get the ball rolling. As we train your dog, we also teach you the steps of each exercise and then coach you on how to become your dog’s trainer at home.

Private dog training provides a way for your dog to get one-on-one interaction with a personal trainer. Along with teaching obedience, commands and manners, it can also help to boost their confidence and correct any bad behaviors. Private dog training can also be a good alternative to group sessions because the trainer can work at your dog’s pace and your dog can have the trainer’s full attention. Private dog training can also help your dog to focus by minimizing the distractions they might experience in a group setting.

Teaching your dog commands and obedience can help to strengthen the bond between you and your dog and can build a lot of trust. You can also help your dog’s mood and behavior by socializing them with other dogs, which will also help your dog to be less aggressive. You can do a lot of dog training yourself, however, professional dog training can help your dog build more confidence, correct bad behaviors and can improve its focus. This is especially important for puppies and for dogs that haven’t been properly socialized.

The first step is to identify the problem. Once you have identified the behavior that needs to be corrected, you need to determine why your pet is engaging in that behavior. There are many reasons why pets might exhibit unwanted behaviors, such as boredom, anxiety or aggression. Once you have determined the root cause of the problem, you can begin working on a corrective plan.
Yes. We are dedicated to providing a safe and healthy environment for our daycare participants and, as such, dogs who show consistently aggressive, menacing, overbearing or assertive behaviors will be removed from our doggie daycare program. With successful training and behavioral modification, we may accept the dog back; however, the dog must demonstrate that they’ve become a good canine citizen first.
There's no one answer to this question since every dog is different and can be scared of different things. However, some common triggers for canine fear include loud noises, unfamiliar people or animals, being left alone and being in new, or unusual environments. If you notice your dog exhibiting any signs of fear or anxiety - including panting, shaking, cowering or clinging to you - it's important to remain calm and provide reassurance. Approach your dog slowly and speak in a soft voice until he or she feels better. Never punish a scared dog as that will only make the problem worse. If your dog's fears are severe or consistently impacting their quality of life, it's best to consult with a veterinarian or animal behavior specialist to help resolve their fears.
